II. Worship Components

A.       Pulpit Concerns:

-  Pulpit Supply: Review the July pulpit supply process and implementation.

-  Define a process and list the procedures for Westminster to follow in securing and working with individuals from the Pulpit Supply List who will fill our pulpit with our new pastor.

- Worship committee member to be responsible for future pulpit supply?

B.       Music Report:

C.       Sacraments:

1.       Baptism

- The worship committee could formulate a statement on baptism to be used with parents and families with children being baptized: when, where, how often baptisms occur, who meets with the family, the instructions before, during and after the baptism.

2.       Communion

- Communion: Who decides the method of communion? When do they decide? Who determines how often we have communion? What are the factors that determine communion by intinction? What is the process that goes into effect at that point?

- For World Communion Sunday, October 1, Marian Bauer will teach the youth and children about the sacrament of communion and help prepare different types of bread from around the world for our communion service. They will bring the baskets of bread to the communion table from all entrances to the sanctuary as the minister processes at the beginning of the service. They will symbolically come in from the east, west, north and south to celebrate communion with the rest of the world. (Those who regularly prepare the communion elements should be notified of this.)

- Determine when communion will be served during Advent Season.
