I. Worship Components:

A.      Worship Committee

1.       Review: the Stewardship program of announcements in the worship services by different committees Oct. 15 - Nov. 5. Recommendation for next year?

2.       Worship Concerns for Advent and Christmas:

- Report on ads for the Wisconsin State Journal

- Review Festival of Lessons and Carols          

- Final report on preparations for Christmas

3.       Annual Report - Worship report

Include four qualities that will characterize our 2007goals for Westminster worship.

4.       Bulletins:

- Proposal to include weekly or monthly vital statistics in our bulletin:                                     attendance, pledges, and collection update

- Report on accuracy of liturgy and announcements  

B.      Reports from the Pastor

1.       Worship Planning for Epiphany:

- Establish an overall theme for 2007?

- Theme(s) for Epiphany

- Liturgical elements to be used

2.  Communion: Schedule for Jan 7 and remainder of the 2007

- Instructions: are they being given and followed – specifically is the correct person serving the lounge? When and where should the pastor and liturgist be served?

- Establish one communion liturgy to be used each communion service.

                                3. Agenda for Acolytes, Ushers and Greeters, Liturgists Training Session –  Jan. 21

4.  Feb 24, 2007 Leadership Conference at Westminster:

- Attendance and participation -

- Role of the Worship Committee -

- Registration fees for Elders and Deacons -

- Preparation of the building -

5. Preliminary planning for Ash Wednesday and all services in Lent:

- Lenten Brochure? If so, we need to make specific plans soon.

- Plan and preparation for Wednesday services

- Liturgical elements to be used

- Final report for Lent at January meeting

II. Budget Items:

- Recommend the purchase of additional Bibles and large print hymnals and Bibles for the sanctuary.  See attached sheet.

- Report on Advent Wreath holder

III. Education and “Examen”

Examen over 2007: How should our definitions of worship be reflected through liturgical elements in the narthex and sanctuary? Liturgical Elements. See attached sheet
